Stations:

Study of the Ocean: What instruments used for water
depth and temperature? How is the water measured?
What instruments are used for water clarity, and why
is it important?

Plankton: What is plankton and why is it important?
Why does plankton travel vertically, and how does it
affect marine environment?

The Dredge and Touch Tank: Discussion of the parts
of marine environment from the dredge sample.
Discussion of different organisms found in the
dredge.

Navigation and Weather Station: Led by the Captain.
Explanation of where we are going, triangulations,
maps, charts, technology, buoys, lighthouses,
colors, lights, weather instruments, and the
explanation for his selections of fishing locations.

How to Fish Station: Led by a Crew member. Detailed
explanation of how to fish safely. They can also
fish with the proper instruction towards the last
hour of trip.
We have found this program to be very unique,
educational, and enjoyable. Children love the "hands
on" experience and understand the significance of
our nautical environment and Ecology.
